Donations

The Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown is a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization that runs with an extremely lean staff and tightly managed overhead.  We are fortunate in that much of the work of the organization is accomplished through the generosity of our member congregations,  supporters, and volunteers, but we are still in need of monetary, food, and other donations.

We need financial support to expand our services to meet the changing needs of our guests and to cover operating expenses such as rent for the kitchen and dining facilities, trash removal, paper goods, insurance , and salaries.

Donations of any size are both welcome and extremely valuable. Consider that:

• $50 provides a noon-time meal for one guest for one week
• $200 provides social services and groceries for a week for a family in need
• $500 purchases al of the paper goods needed for one week
• $1,000 enables us to hold a Job Fair for 150 guests seeking work
• $3,500 covers rent, utilities, trash removal/recycling for one month
