Generosity is Key!
![]() |
Morristown resident, Doug Huhn’s generosity inspires others to give to the Community Soup Kitchen. Doug got his company, Investor Savings Bank, to pitch in $500 worth of reusable shopping bags and hats. Then he parked himself in front of the Stop and Shop in Madison for six hours in the blazing heat. While giving away the goodies, Doug encouraged shoppers to purchase much needed items for the Soup Kitchen. The response was overwhelming. By the end of the day his car was filled to the brim and riding low. We were thrilled to receive such a big donation of food, especially during the summer months when the pantry tends to run low. Doug hopes to do it all again later this month. |

Lends a Hand

The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center was recently honored to have Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen serve our guests. He rolled up his sleeves and ladeled soup for 280 people. It was an informal and much appreciated way for him to get to know our guests, volunteers, and staff.
